The Transword Translation Agency provides Russian and Ukrainian interpreters throughout Hungary, and, with appropriate cost coverage, also with international travel. Our experienced interpreters assist smooth communication during business negotiations, official procedures, conferences, trainings, or individual meetings.

Rates for Russian and Ukrainian Interpreting

When ordering Russian or Ukrainian interpreting services, the fee for 1 hour of interpreting (depending on the topic and location) ranges from 6,000–12,000 HUF / hour + 27% VAT. The minimum order is 2 hours, and each additional started hour is charged as a full hour.

Within Budapest, no travel or call-out fees are charged. For longer assignments, multi-day events, or travel to the countryside/abroad, exact pricing is determined individually.

If the Russian or Ukrainian interpreter works not into Hungarian but into another European language (for example Russian–English, Russian–German, Russian–French), the hourly rate ranges between 8,000–16,000 HUF / hour + 27% VAT.

Russian and Ukrainian Interpreter Online (Skype, Online Interpreting)

Russian and Ukrainian interpreting can also be performed online via Skype or other internet-based platforms. The client only needs a functioning laptop or computer, microphone, and stable internet connection. The interpreter joins the meeting remotely. Since there is no travel time or travel cost, online interpreting may be more affordable while maintaining the same high quality.

Booking, Deposit, and Cancellation Terms

Please place your request for Russian or Ukrainian interpreting at least 3–4 days before the event, so we can ensure the availability of a suitable specialist. We request a 50% deposit of the anticipated fee, payable via bank transfer or in person at our office.

In case of cancellation, the paid deposit is non-refundable, as the interpreter’s time has been reserved and cannot be offered to another client. The deposit ensures availability and confirms the seriousness of the booking.

Interpreting Modes and Professional Background

We undertake all types of interpreting assignments, including consecutive, simultaneous, and escort interpreting. In the consecutive (section-based) method, the interpreter stays near the participants, listens and takes notes if needed, then summarizes the speaker’s message in the other language once the speech segment ends. For larger events, simultaneous interpreting is also available with appropriate technical equipment.
